The Kiwanis Club of Peoria presented the 47th Annual Ray A. Neumann Tri-County Citizen of the Year Award to Dr. William H. Albers. Dr. Albers’ support helped lead to the establishment of the Children’s Hospital of Illinois at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in 1990. He has served as its Medical Director. He was the first of more than 100 pediatric sub-specialists on it’s staff. He has volunteered his time and his airplane as part of the Lifeline Pilots organization to get children where they need to go for medical treatment.
