The public is already enjoying new sidewalks next to and in front of the Main Library. The drive along Route 6 shows passers-by a North Branch building that is quickly being finished on the outside. At Lincoln Branch, utilities lines are being laid and crews are anxiously awaiting the arrival of structural steel for the new addition. Everywhere workers and library staff are pushing the three current building projects toward completion.

The Main Library will close to the public from November 1 until reopening on Monday, December 13. The rest of the building will still be under construction as will the parking lot, but the complete building will be finished in early summer.
