The Peoria Park Districts ELITE “Pulses of Hope” Drum Line is a group of talented high school students who perform at various school and community events.  The drum line’s talent caught the eye of the “Friends of Friedrichshafen” Sister City Commission members last summer as they entertained visitors from Peoria’s Irish Sister City.  As a result, the drum line has been formally invited to represent the city of Peoria in Friedrichshafen, Germany during the 35th Anniversary International City Festival from June 21 to June 28th, 2011.

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these young people to travel abroad to not only broaden their own horizons, but later share their experiences with other youth to help inspire them as well.

To help raise the funds necessary, there will be a series of Community-wide Drum Line Fundraising Performances. The public is invited to make contributions to the “Peoria Park District Foundation”, in care of the Drums, at 2218 N. Prospect Road, Peoria, IL  61603.
