August Seniors on the Go – It’s Free

Topics: “Back” to the Future and Why am I tired all the time?

The Hult Health Education Center and Proctor Hospital will present Seniors on the Go on Thursday, August 18 at the Hult Center for Health Education. The educational program is free to seniors. Topics will include “Back to the Future” with Dr. Robert Bennifield, Bennifield and Associates, Benningfield Chiropractic Center from 10:30-11:45 a.m. and, “Why am I tired all the time?” with Jeff Robins, Essential Wellness Pharmacy 12:30-1:15 p.m. Lunch is provided from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

August Brown Bag Program on Aging and Fitness

FREE Health and Lifestyle Topics for Individuals 55-plus

The Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital is sponsoring a Brown Bag Lunch & Learn Wellness Series for Older Adults on Thursday, August 25, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Charles Edwards, MPT, Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, will discuss “Aging and Healthy Movement.”

Everything that gets worse with age gets better with exercise. Learn about the many benefits a fitness program can bring to your quality of life. You will also have an opportunity to participate in exercises designed to increase strength, improve balance, increase flexibility and develop endurance. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

The session is free and will be held in the Classroom I of the Proctor Professional Building. Seating is limited and registration is required. Please feel free to bring your own favorite lunch and beverage. Call (309) 689-6001 to register.

Proctor Hospital Sponsors Free Medicare Help Desk

Answering all your Medicare Questions

Proctor Hospital, in association with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois’ Services in the Neighborhood program, offers a free Medicare Help Desk the fourth Wednesday of every month, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., in the Lobby at Proctor Hospital. The next scheduled Medicare Help desk will be Wednesday, August 24.
