Photography Class & Exhibit Offered in October @ Peoria Public Library Lakeview Branch

Photography enthusiasts and those who would like to sharpen their skills are invited to a series of three free photography workshops on Tuesdays, Oct. 2, 9 and 16 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Peoria Public Library Lakeview Branch. On Oct. 23 a photography contestwill run from 3:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with winners announced at the end of the evening.

On Oct. 2 the first class is Portraits of Peoria: Taking Great Pictures of People, taught by Tesa & Travis Baillie of Baille Photography.

On Oct. 9, Portraits of Peoria presents What Makes a Photograph Great with Michael Vujovich of Michael Vujovich Photography. He will discuss what elements of a photograph make it a good one. Bring in your own work to share!

On Oct. 16 is Portraits of Peoria: Landscapes and City Scenes. Tesa and Travis Baile of Baile Photography return for ths workshop.

On Oct. 23, Peoria Public Library Lakeview Branch will host a photography contest featuring images of Peoria. Bring your best shot of a favorite landmark or place that captures Peoria at its best between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Please bring a print of your photograph and a digital image if possible. Awards will be given at 7:30 p.m.
