Peoria march in support of people of Ferguson, MO

letterstotheeditorOn 8/18/14 it was my dream for the Black community to stand as a symbol of positivity, support, and healing for our extended family in Ferguson. I wanted to say we love you and our community grieves with yours in the loss of Mike Brown and all of our brothers who have been lost to these horrific events.

Our #RIPMikeBrown peaceful protest, was more than just a march against racial profiling, injustice and any acts of hate. It was a demonstration of love and unity in our community. It was my hope that we would all take this negative situation and turn it into a positive opportunity to unify our people.
