Waste Management will not be picking up bulk items until further notifice. If residents need to dispose of large items such as mattresses take them to the Peoria County Landfill, 11501 W. July 4 is a BIG day in our community. This year marks the 50th anniversary for our July Fourth parade, the longest running in Central Illinois. Volunteers are needed. Each year, a West Peoria person is honored as Grand Marshal for the parade. Submit a short letter of nomination to: mayor@cityofwestpeoria.com or by stopping by City Hall.
West Peoria’s Annual Memorial Day Service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23 at the War Memorial in Franciscan Park. Bruce Brown, a Marine veteran and community activist, is the scheduled speaker.
