Letters: Yes, carbon capture pipelines can be dangerous, Dr. Davis

Yes, carbon capture pipelines can be dangerous, Dr. Davis Regarding the recent letter by Dr. Gary Davis regarding carbon capture pipelines (Oct., 2023), I just wanted to make you aware that in 2020 heavy rains in Satartia, Miss., caused a carbon capture pipeline to burst and 45 people suffered suffocation so bad that they had to be hospitalized.

Your letter states that no one was harmed by carbon capture pipelines in Decatur but people were affected in Mississippi.

Although leaks are rare, they can and do happen. It is very dangerous and can cause death.

Also, wanted to mention that carbon capture companies are forcing landowners to give up their property by using eminent domain. It should be a choice … not forced.
