Members of the Peoria County Democratic Central Committee and several area community leaders will hold a press conference at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20 outside Peoria’s City Election Commission, 542 SW Adams to warn voters about efforts to confuse and dissuade voters from participating in this year’s election.“In the past, there have been many efforts, some successful, to suppress voter turnout in our community,” said Billy Halstead, Chairman of the Peoria County Democratic Central Committee.  “We are coming together on Monday to ensure voters know their rights.”Halstead will be joined by Sen. Dave Koehler (D-Peoria) and several other elected officials and community leaders.
