State Rep. Jehan Gordon (D-Peoria) is reminding her constituents that she has established traveling office hours in five locations throughout the 92nd District aimed at providing maximum access to the services her office provides.
“When I took office, I made a commitment to be as accessible to the people who elected me as I can possibly be, and setting up locations where constituents can access my office in various areas of the community is one way I can do that,” Gordon said. “Not every constituent can make it to my district office on War Memorial, so it’s important that they know that there are other options and they are more than welcome to stop by and speak with myself or my office caseworkers.”
On the following days each month, Gordon or a member of her staff will be in the following locations to meet with constituents:
1st Tuesday, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.-Workforce Network Office, Manual High School, 811 S. Griswold, Peoria
1st Friday, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.- West Peoria City Hall, 2056 W. Rohmann, Peoria
2nd Tuesday, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.-Peoria Heights Village Hall, 4901 N. Prospect, Peoria Heights
3rd Thursday, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.-Kickapoo Township Hall, 10025 W. US Highway 150, Kickapoo
4th Wednesday, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.-Limestone Township Hall, 1605 W. Garfield, Bartonville
“All too often, people feel that their government is out-of-touch and uninterested in the concerns of the taxpayers—it’s my goal to change that perception by working as hard as I can to give my constituents a full range of services through my office, whether it is at my district office or one of the traveling offices,” Gordon added. “As always, I encourage anyone concerned with a state issue to give my office a call, send an e-mail or drop in one of my office locations so we can try to help.”
