You can’t really tell right now, but there have been tremendous changes to the Community Word Online. This site’s publishing platform — the guts of the site — has been upgraded from WordPress Mu 1.2.4 to WPMu 2.8.4a. What that means is added functionality and most importantly, immunity to a brand-spanking new worm that is making the rounds.

Anyone familiar with how WPMu upgrades work will recognize how difficult such an upgrade can be.

And it worked, with some issues that still need to be addressed by the company that owns the servers. Soon, all the images that show up as broken links will begin to appear normally.

Also, there were some problems uploading all of the posts for our companion site, CW Notes. Don’t worry, the folks who own the server will make a change to a file that will allow the uploading to happen.
