Hopedale Medical Complex Assists Tazwood’s New Prairie Vistas

Hopedale Medical Complex recently donated nearly $5,000 to Tazwood Mental Health Center’s new “Prairie View Vistas” project. Prairie View Vistas, a home for the mentally disabled, will cost approximately two million dollars to build and has an expected completion date of December, 2009.

Michael Polson, CEO of Tazwood Mental Health Center, noted, “We very much appreciate the donation. It will allow us to purchase items such as dishes, blankets, and furniture for the units. We want to have everything new for these residents.” Polson added that 14 people will be living in the development and the fifteenth person will be a live-in staff member. The new units are located across the street from Tazwood Mental Health Center in Pekin.

“Hopedale Medical Complex recognizes the value that Prairie View Vistas will bring to our service area. Our rural mental health patients need a safe haven in which to live,” stated Mark Rossi, COO of the Complex. “We are delighted to help Tazwood with this worthwhile project.”
