A Christmas album containing traditional religious and popular songs has been released by Phillip Haworth, Director of Worship and Fine Arts for Peoria’s First United Methodist Church. The CD contains 11 favorite holiday favorites including:
• O, Holy Night;
• White Christmas;
• A Child is Born;
• The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting Over an Open Fire);
• Keep Silence;
• Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas;
• Silent Night;
• Joseph’s Lullaby;
• Sweet Little Jesus Boy;
• Christmastime is Here; and
• Baby, It’s Cold Outside.

The album was recorded in Houston.

The CD sells for $15 with all proceeds going to fund scholarships at the United Methodist Camphor Mission School in Liberia, West Africa.

The CD, entitled “Christmas,” can be purchased at the church located at the corner of Perry and Main in Peoria from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday in the church office and on Sunday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon in the church’s bookstore.
