Kick-off luncheon to be held at Peoria NEXT Innovation Center

Counseling & Family Services is proud to announce a new partnership with Advantage Staffing, LLC, with a kick-off luncheon at the Peoria NEXT Innovation Center (801 W Main St) on Tuesday, November 3, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The partnership will provide a means for the two organizations to aid members of the community in their preparation and placement into new jobs during this time of economic hardship. Douglas Allan, executive director of Counseling & Family Services, says, “The partnership aligns the interests of employers, job seekers, placement agencies and clients of non-profit agencies by creating a system of job readiness resources. A partnership such as this helps to identify and remove the barriers to employment.”

The first phase of their joint venture is the “Keep Moving Forward” campaign. This campaign has been designed to bring unemployed individuals together to help them learn about available options and resources to aid their job search, be professional in their careers, and keep moving forward in their quest for gainful employment.

The culmination of their hard work and cooperation will be displayed at an event showcasing the campaign on Saturday, November 7, at the Gateway Building (200 NE Water St.) from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
