Common Place Family Learning Center Youth to help set Cup Stacking World Record

Common Place Family Learning Center youth participants will help the World Sport Stacking Association set a new world record in cup stacking for the Guinness World Records Day on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 4:30 – 8:00 p.m., at Common Place, 514 S. Shelley Street.

The public’s help is needed. A total of 125 people or more are needed to meet requirements to be counted in the world record. No cup stacking experience necessary, only need to donate ½ hour of your time.

Cup stacking has many educational benefits, including hand-eye coordination, sequencing, and thought processing. More information regarding the educational benefits can be found by contacting Helen Jenkins, 674-3315.
