The Center for Prevention of Abuse is looking for donations this holiday season. If you or someone you know would like to make a donation, please let me know. Some of these gift items are very inexpensive – so please consider donating. Or ask friends to donate with you – together you could buy some larger items!

Here is a list of items they are requesting:

Gift cards – Walgreens, Payless, restaurants, Toys R Us, Kroger, WalMart, Target, hair/nail salons, Burlington Coat, Kohl’s
Pillows and pillow cases
Throws/light-weight blankets
Gift basket sets – movie or movie rental, popcorn, candy
Robes – child to adult 2X
PJs or scrubs, separate tops/bottoms, larger sizes – no nightgowns
PJs ages 4 – 14, boys/girls
Footies/warm socks – infant, children, teen and adult women’s
Slippers
Gift wrap, gift bags, cellophane sheets, tissue paper, tape, ribbon
Jewelry boxes, bracelets, earrings, necklaces (adult and teen)
Body lotions and shower gels
Hair brushes, hair styling products, scrunchies, head bands, blow dryers, curling irons
Purses, tote bags, make-up bags, adult and teen
Journals
Mittens, gloves (infant through adult)
Books (child through adult) non-violent
Coloring books, crayons, markers, and other art supplies
Cuddly stuffed animals
DVDs – family oriented, non-violent or children’s
Games, cars, trucks, balls, dolls, blocks, Legos
Specific food items – candy canes, hot chocolate packets, individually wrapped pre-packaged snacks
Travel mugs, for adults and toddler ages (no sippy cups)
Coffee mugs
Hard plastic cups/tumblers
Day planners/pocket calendars
