The Peoria Park District’s Luthy Botanical Garden will hold a “Build a Hypertufa” class on Saturday, April 17, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Hypertufas are stone containers that resemble Old English carved watering troughs. They are great for herbs, alpine plants, hostas…and for adding some personality to your patio or porch. This is one of our most popular classes, so be sure to sign up early! Bring your own gloves and a piece of wood you can use to carry your creation home.
This class is open to the public, ages 16 and up, and does require pre-registration. The cost is $24 for residents, $27 for non-residents and $22 for Garden members. Register online at www.peoriaparks.org or for additional information, please contact Luthy Botanical Garden at 686-3362.
