March was ‘Women’s History Month”, and CAPtions honors it with a program featuring Black Women in leadership positions.

Guests include Brenda Coates, Peoria Housing Authority CEO, and Rachael Parker, Peoria Public Schools Dist. 150 Board Member.

Topics include their motivations and struggles to achieve their goals. Also in the broadcast: host Andre Bohannon fills out a Census 2010 form, to show the ease and the little time it takes to do it. Assisting him is Shannon Techie from the City of Peoria.

Finally, the Tri-County Urban League is recruiting participants for its new Jobs program. Information on that is discussed.

CAPtions will air Sunday, Mar. 28th at 5:00 p.m. on Comcast Cable 22 in Peoria County, Wednesday Mar. 31st at 7:00 p.m. Comcast Cable 22; and 9:00 p.m. ESC-TV Cable 22 in parts of Tazewell County. It also can be viewed in 6 parts on FaceBook and YouTube beginning April 1st.
