Winner of the 1956 Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, and Critics Circle Award, this relevant play is based on the writings from a Dutch language diary written by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Very few plays have moved the Broadway critics to write such glowing reviews. The cast calls for 5 women and 5 men in leading roles, along with 2 or 3 men (age 18+) for the Nazi Gestapo. The character of Anne should appear to be age 14 to 16 (must actually be at least 13 years of age).

Auditions will be held at Peoria Players Theatre on Friday, August 20 at 7:00 pm for the role of Anne only; and on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 at 1:00 pm for all other roles. Perusal scripts are available in the Peoria Players box office.
