Central Illinois volunteer will serve in staff services at Red Cross disaster relief headquarters
Severe storms dumped more than seven inches of rain across northern Illinois last weekend, causing devastating flooding. Many residents have been forced from their homes, and have nowhere to turn. The American Red Cross is currently feeding, sheltering, and beginning client casework for flood victims.
Tricia Pearson of Mapleton will be deploying tomorrow, July 29, to Freeport, IL to assist with flood relief efforts from last weekend’s storms. Tricia plans to be at the Central Illinois Chapter around 9:30am for her briefing. Her departure will be at approximately 11:00am from the airport car rental facilities. Tricia will be serving in staff services and expects to be there around 2 weeks.
