Wildlife Prairie State Park (WPSP) will hold their annual Kid’s Day on August 7, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with FREE admission for all children age 12 & under for the entire day!
School is just around the corner, so this is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together and celebrate what it is like to be a kid with such activities as pony rides, carnival games, face painting and so much more. In conjunction with the day’s festivities, WPSP has once again been selected as one of eight regional Odor- Eaters Rotten Sneaker ContestSM sites.

ODOR-EATERS ROTTEN SNEAKER CONTESTSM:
Kids ages 5 to 15 are invited to wear their naturally worn and torn sneakers to WPSP and enter them into the regional Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker ContestSM. From 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., participants are encouraged to enter the contest. The top 25 owners of what could be the foulest footwear in Central Illinois will then be judged at 1:00 p.m. by our celebrity judges. The judges will utilize a strict set of guidelines to select one Golden Sneaker Award winner. The winner will receive $200 in cash, the Golden Sneaker Award, a certificate and Odor-Eaters® products. The winner may also have the chance to fly with one parent to Montpelier, VT, in March 2011 to compete at the National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker ContestSM with winners from across the country.
