Bradley University launches Homecoming activities on Wednesday with the traditional lighting of the B atop Bradley Hall at 9:30. (see below for more about the tradition)
Other activities during the four-day event include headline entertainment with late night superstar Jay Leno, dedication ceremonies for the new arena, a tailgate party and bonfire, “Hoopla on the Hilltop” with men’s and women’s basketball teams, Late Night BU for students and alumni, an alumni luncheon, and much more.

Lighting of the B Ceremony, Wednesday, Oct 13
9:30 p.m., Founder’s Circle
Help celebrate the history of Bradley by participating in the majesty of lighting the B on top of Bradley Hall. Participants will assist during the candle lighting ceremony and singing of Hail Red & White.

Graffiti Jam BBQ & performance artist Elliott From ’90 will perform on the Quad on Friday, Oct 15 at noon. Purchase lunch ($5) and enjoy the show!

Bonfire, Friday, Oct 15
7:00 pm, Meinen Field
This is the first time a bonfire has been held on campus in a very long time. There will music, a mini-pep rally featuring the Bravettes, soccer team and cheerleaders. The bonfire will be followed by a luminary walk to the arena for Hoopla on the Hilltop, the men’s and women’s basketball scrimmages.

Family and Consumer Science students and dietetic interns will be preparing and serving lunch. Everyone is welcome. $6

3-6pm, Shea Stadium
The Tailgate Party will be bigger and better than previous years, featuring a midway with games, inflatable activities and food. There will be free carnival type food as well as a BBQ for purchase. Free shuttles will be provided from the Student Center.
