Alumni, faculty, staff to be recognized during Founder’s Day convocation, luncheon

Alumni, faculty, and staff of Bradley University will be recognized during Founder’s Day activities on campus on Friday.

The annual Founder’s Day Convocation, during which the University community pays tribute to founder Lydia Moss Bradley, will begin at 10:oo a.m. in the Markin Family Student Recreation Center, located at 819 N. Glenwood Avenue. Faculty and staff will be recognized with some of the University’s highest awards and seven alumni, including two Peorians, will be inducted into the Centurion Society during the ceremony. The Centurion Society, founded in 1982, honors alumni who have become national or international leaders in their field and recognizes them for achievements in business, public life, and their professions.

The Founder’s Day Luncheon will follow in the Michel Student Center ballroom. The Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented to Kathleen “Kathi” Buck Holst, class of 1979, who is the senior vice president of Midwest Operations and new market development RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. The Outstanding Young Graduate Award will be presented to Congressman Aaron Schock of the class of 2002, and the Lydia Moss Bradley Award will be presented to Mr. Douglas Frank, composer, songwriter, and former president of Music Operations for Warner Bros. Pictures.
