The Peoria Park District will tip off its Youth Basketball League on November 1st at the RiverPlex for boys and girls in grades 1-6. Youth of all ability levels, from the first-time hoopster to backyard superstar, will learn the skills necessary to enjoy the sport of basketball for life.

Under the instruction of volunteer coaches, participants will develop techniques, knowledge, and strategy with emphasis on fun, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Practices will be held on Mondays and Thursdays for one hour at 5:30 or 6:30 p.m. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 a.m. All Youth Basketball League events are held at the RiverPlex.

Fees are $58 for residents and $63 for non-residents. Registration is available at the Glen Oak Park Pavilion or online at www.peoriaparks.org.
