The local Peoria Area Chamber is offering marketing classes starting this month and they will continue through May. The classes are one-day crash courses teaching marketing practices that are up to date with today’s society.

The classes are split into two groups of six classes. The first group is called the Freshmen 6, which are the more introductory classes. The second group is called that Senior 6, and are more intermediate classes.

The classes in the Freshmen 6 are: Marketing 101, Online Marketing, Email Marketing, Tradeshow and Event Marketing, Traditional and Print Marketing, and Social Media Marketing. These classes start January 25, and run until March 1st.

The Senior 6 classes are: Marketing Measurement, Mobile/ Text Campaign and Email Marketing, Event Planning, Online Marketing (advanced), Traditional and Print Marketing (advanced), and Social Media Marketing (advanced). These classes start April 5th and run until May 17.

These classes are a great way to boost your marketing skills. The classes are taught by local figures in local businesses and organizations. These organizations include OSF Health Care, The Peoria Journal Star, Town Square Media, and Bradley University.
