Quality Quest Tracks Percentage of Employees Vaccinated for Seasonal Flu at Regional Hospitals

Quality Quest for Health of Illinois, a non-profit healthcare collaborative, is tracking the percentage of employees vaccinated for the seasonal flu at regional hospitals from October 2010 through February 2011. A report that covers the last three months of 2010 (October – December) is available at www.qualityquest.org. The participating hospitals and their respective percentages are:

OSF Saint Mary Medical Center, Galesburg 91%
OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth 90%
Decatur Memorial Hospital 88%
St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur 85%
OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford 83%
OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington 80%
OSF Saint Francis Medical Center 80%
Proctor Hospital 75%
Pekin Hospital 74%
OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac 65%
Methodist Medical Center 65%

“We applaud these hospitals for sharing this information and our overall goal is to see area hospitals reach a 100% rate for vaccinated employees by February 28, 2011. This means patients and hospital staff will be safer and have less transmission of the seasonal flu. An updated report will be added to the Quality Quest website in February,” said Dr. Gail Amundson, Quest CEO.
