$25,000 in Scholarship Money Given at Premier Night of the Iowa Illinois Regional Auto Show

The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is pleased to announce the 2011 recipients of the Iowa/Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarships:

Haylea Ehredt – Rock Falls High School – Rock Falls, Illinois. A letter of recommendation is from Ken Nelson, Rock Falls . Haylea was awarded $2,500
Andrew Graves – River Ridge High School – Elizabeth, Illinois. His letter of recommendation came from Elizabeth Garage, Elizabeth, Illinois. Andrew was awarded $5,000.
Kairee Graves – River Ridge High School – Elizabeth, Illinois. Her letter of recommendation came from Elizabeth Garage, Elizabeth, Illinois. Kairee was awarded $5,000.
Michael Hafeman – East Dubuque High School – East Dubuque, Illinois
His letter of recommendation was provided by Runde Auto East Dubuque. Michael was awarded $5,000.
John Hopkins – Davenport Central High School – Davenport, Iowa
His letter of recommendation came from Lujack Northpark Auto Plaza, Davenport, Iowa John was awarded $2,500.
Rachel Timmerman – Marquette Catholic High School, Maquoketa, Iowa.
Her letter of recommendation came from Rotman Motors, Maquoketa, Iowa. Rachel was awarded $5,000.

The Auto Show has given to date over $175,000 in scholarships to 61 area students. Proceeds from the Auto Show support the Scholarship Fund. A special presentation of $12,300 was made by the Quad City Times to be deposited to the scholarship fund from sales efforts of the Auto Show Special Supplement. Sponsors of the Premier include: IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, AutoTrader.com, Automated Data Processing, S & S Automotive, The Greater Quad City Auto Auction and Enterprise Car Rental.
