West Bluff Council Forum on Redistricting effort- Monday, July 18, 7PM at the Bradley University Student Center

Members of the West Bluff Council are unanimous in our commitment to our neighborhoods and the sense of cohesiveness and homogeneity of what comprises the West Bluff area and our district. It is generally acknowledged that the neighborhoods of the West Bluff are among the best organized in the City. It is this sense of community that allows and supports dialogue and effectiveness– and certainly represents a quality of life that attracts many to our distinctive neighborhoods.

As the difficult task of redistricting the City unfolds, we must challenge our leaders to continue to protect the viability of our heritage neighborhoods. We are also unanimous in our belief that preserving the existing district that comprises the West Bluff is critical to the City and, of course, to our neighborhoods, as well as the institutions and businesses that operate here.

The West Bluff Council will host an open forum and invite our neighbors to discuss the importance of the redistricting and educate our constituents on the importance of maintaining our current district. We plan to do this on Monday, July 18, @ 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley University Student Center.
