The Peoria Area Association of Realtor® (PAAR) has announced Laura Martin of Re/Max Unlimited as the new president of the PAAR Board of Directors. The installation of officers and directors took place recently during a special ceremony at the 92nd Annual PAAR Installation Banquet at THE WATERHOUSE on Peoria’s riverfront.

Martin currently serves on many association committees at the state and local level. As board president, she will continue the association’s efforts to watch over any proposed legislation that could affect a homeowner’s private property rights or their ability to obtain a mortgage. She is also interested in the revitalization of the Downtown riverfront and warehouse district as well as supporting sustainable living issues.

Other PAAR officers are John Purple of Purple Realty, Inc. as president-elect; Tonya Burris of Traders Realty Corp. as treasurer; and Phil Harvey of Re/Max Unlimited as secretary.
