Women today have enormous responsibilities both at home and at work that make caring for their own needs especially challenging. Amid the rush of the day with a myriad of responsibilities bearing down, it is often difficult to find the joy that should be a part of each and every day of our lives.

On Saturday, October 22, Hands of Love Ministry is sponsoring the second annual “Real Life: Real Joy! A Woman’s Day of Renewal” to encourage women to take time out for themselves and enrich their lives with the healing power of Christ. The event, which drew 350 people last year, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ashland House Ballroom in Morton.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. that day, but tickets must be purchased in advance.

This special day is offered to women of all ages and will feature inspiring speakers, heartfelt worship, uplifting music and rich times for discussion. Speakers include Helen Modjeska, Kristin Klisares Rickey, Tammy Poppen, Mardi Bielema, Rhonda Anderson, Karessa Huber and featured speaker Rachel West Kramer. Worship will be led by Scott and Rachel Kramer of Hands of Love Ministry with a worship team. Special music will be provided by Rachel West Kramer featuring songs from her newest album “Resounding Joy.”

The day includes breakfast, lunch and a complimentary Real Life: Real Joy! care package. Tickets are $40 per person or $35 per person for tables of 8 or more.
