Peoria Realtors® and friends rally to raise funds for children of fatally-stricken Realtor

Re/Max Unlimited Realtor® Andrea Rymer’s work philosophy was to work hard and to help people find the perfect house. For her, it was less about the sale and more about finding her client’s their dream home. Her Realtor energy and dedication did not go unnoticed. She had been selected for the Peoria Area Association of Realtors®

2010-2011 Leadership Academy and the Young Professional Task Force.

As a single Mom of two, she not only worked the real estate scene, but also was appointed Guest Services Manager at Embassy Suites in East Peoria when she unexpectedly died from an aortic dissection in July. Rymer was 39 years old. She is survived by her son, Bradin, 17, and daughter, Makenzie, 11.

Due to her unexpected passing with no life insurance or saving account for her children, a memorial fundraiser has been planned to raise money for her children’s education.

The Andrea Rymer Memorial Fundraiser will be this Sunday, October 9th, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Embassy Suites Hotel in East Peoria. The event will be held in the Embassy Suites ballroom and will feature music by JammSammich, a silent and live auction, food, cash bar, and special activities for the whole family. The public is encouraged to attend.

A $10 donation is requested at the door; children under 3 years are free. VIP tickets are $25 and include reserved seating and advance silent auction viewing.

A memorial fund has been established at Commerce Bank. Checks can be made to Commerce Bank – Andrea Rymer Memorial Fund and mailed to Commerce Bank, Private Banking Division, 416 Main Street, Peoria, IL 61602.

Donations are still being accepted for the auction and can be dropped off at the Re/Max Unlimited office, 3622 N. Knoxville. For more information, call Tori at 309-686-8100.
