Give Blood on January 5, 2012

Proctor Hospital will be hosting the American Red Cross blood drive on January 5, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The drive will take place in Proctor’s Professional Building on the bottom floor in classrooms three and four.

The American Red Cross is currently urging platelet donations. With platelets having a short shelf-life of five days, it’s difficult for enough platelets to stay on hand to meet the needs of hospital patients around the country.

If you last donated on or before November 8, 2011, you may be eligible to give. Food will be provided in the donor canteen. Contact Carrie McMillion at (309) 689-8608 to schedule an appointment.
