Rep. Jehan Gordon (D-Peoria) visited the Central Peoria Fire Station this week to receive award from local fire departments and the Mutual Aid Box Alarm Systems (MABAS). This award was in recognition of Gordon’s support of emergency responders. Gordon was presented the award by Peoria Fire Chief Kent Tomblin (pictured) and Chillicothe Fire Chief and MABAS Director for District 36 Bruce Vaughan. MABAS is a coalition of fire departments from across Illinois that assist each other in emergencies. District 36 includes fire departments from Peoria County.
