(Peoria, IL / July 9, 2012) – Fun and food – what better way to help Children’s Hospital of Illinois during the month of July?

Splash For Cash will be held Saturday, July 21 from 3 – 6 PM at Splashdown in East Peoria. Admission is $6.25 per person, $2.00 for spectators, and free for children 3 & under. 20% of ALL admission fees will be donated to Children’s Hospital.

Spalsh for Cash is sponsored by the H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Patients Everyday) Committee. H.O.P.E was formed with the goal to involve young professionals and families in fun activities to raise money and awareness to help Children’s Hospital care for children who need medical assistance. They currently have approximately 30 members.

Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day will be held Thursday, July 26 at all participating Dairy Queen locations. $1.00 from every Blizzard sold will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

Local Dairy Queens have raised over $150,000 in the last six years to benefit children and their families at Children’s Hospital.
