July 28 driving event to benefit Make-A-Wish® Illinois
What: I Spy A Wish Team Adventure is a driving scavenger hunt to raise money for Make-A-Wish® Illinois in order to grant the wishes of four area children. The goal is to raise $20,000 with your help! Each registered team will use clues to find sponsored stops in the Peoria area. Teams will take a photo at each location and meet Make-A-Wish kids throughout the adventure. Teams made up of family members, friends, or even businesses or groups of coworkers are welcomed. Register now at www.ispyawish.com. When: Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 1- 5 p.m.
Where: Start and finish location at Uftring Weston Chevrolet Cadillac located at 1600 W. War Memorial in Peoria along with various other sponsored stops in the Peoria Area. A party, emceed by reporter Eugene Daniels of WMBD Channel 31 News, will wrap-up the event with various prizes awarded to team finishers and food provided by Avanti’s Italian Restaurant. There are many exciting prizes for finishing teams. A few of the highlighted prizes include new running shoes from Running Central, an overnight stay and dinner at Embassy Suites, Shell gas cards, and a deluxe suite at the Peoria Chiefs for up to 15 people.
Cost: $50 per team (2-6 members) per vehicle
How: I Spy A Wish is made possible by hardworking volunteers of the Peoria Area Regional Council fundraising committee for Make-A-Wish Illinois.
