Midstate College’s 2012 Commencement celebrated one of the institution’s largest graduating classes ever with 199 degrees conferred, ranging from diplomas to bachelor degrees.
With over 1400 guests in attendance, Midstate College graduates received 41 diplomas, 88 associate degrees and 70 baccalaureate degrees. A majority of Midstate College graduates live in Illinois, and the 2012 graduate class is comprised of a multitude of ethnicities and backgrounds.
Dr. Steve Bortolotti, Midstate College General Education faculty member, was the featured keynote speaker. Meredith Bunch, President and CEO of Midstate College, welcomed the message, “Dr. Bortolotti’s speech truly resonated with the graduates and his words will be remembered by all in attendance.”
As a part of a Student Volunteer Achievement Program, Midstate College awarded the Most Outstanding Student Award to Kim Stanley, an Administrative Professional student.
