Local Peoria Businesses Come Together to Fight Hunger

Peoria, IL- Move For Hunger, a nationwide hunger relief organization, has partnered with the Club Fitness Gym and Mordue Moving and Storage, Inc. for the first ever Club Fitness Food Drive to benefit the Midwest Food Bank in Peoria. Non-members who donate can inquire about a free pass to the gym.

From September 17th through October 1st food collection boxes will be conveniently located at Club Fitness: 7623 North Crestline Drive Peoria, IL. Residents, neighbors, and all members of the community are asked to come together to donate unopened, non-perishable food items throughout the end of September.

Mordue Moving and Storage has generously donated all of the collection boxes and will also deliver the donations to the Midwest Food Bank after the event.

“Over 1.8 million people in Illinois live on incomes that put them at risk of hunger,” says Move For Hunger’s executive director, Adam Lowy. “This is a great way to bring the community together for a good cause.”

This September Food Drive is brought to you by Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies to collect unopened food items from those who are moving and deliver it to local food banks across the country.
