10:15-11:15am – “The Purple Tornado”
Preschool storytime with a twist(er).
4:00-5:00pm – “Zombie Apocalypse”
Teen program. Across the United States the Zombie invasion theme pervades television, radio, the internet, and gaming. However unfounded the fears of an undead uprising may be, one lesson stands strong: If we prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse, we’ll be prepared for ANYTHING! Learn how to protect yourself from a zombie attack in this fun-filled (and a little creepy) program, and how to apply “zombie readiness” to every day attacks like severe weather, earthquakes, pandemics, and winter storms.
6:30-7:45pm – “What If They Were Right?”
All ages. With the days of the Mayan Calendar coming to an end, could these really be our last moments as a civilization? Maybe not, but this family event can help you discover how to prepare for disasters of every type in a world that is constantly changing. Learn about what we can expect over the next few years, how to prepare a home disaster kit, and how to stay on top of severe weather, all while enjoying the comedy and stories of a nationally-known speaker!
