A public meeting will be held in front of the Peoria City Council on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd Floor Ballroom of the Gateway Building (200 NE Water Street) to discuss an implementation plan for the Warehouse District. The meeting is a crucial step in a year-long effort to develop a plan for the future of the District.

Previous planning efforts have recognized that the Warehouse District can emerge as a vibrant, urban neighborhood through the adaptive reuse of existing buildings and the promotion of mixed-use development, including residential, retail, office, entertainment, and industry. This Implementation Plan represents a culmination of previous planning efforts and provides a clear path forward to guide the City, property owners, and developers as they work together to revitalize the Warehouse District.

The presentation will consist of:
· A focused plan for the Warehouse District;
· A summary of the market analysis and strategic recommendations;
· A discussion regarding potential catalytic projects;
· A discussion regarding implementation strategies; and
· A question and answer period with the Consultant Team.
