Hopedale, IL – Each year, Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) proudly recognizes those employees who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to its charitable mission. On December 7, the following HMC employees were recipients of awards:

Department Head of the Year: Emily Whitson, MS/ATC
Emily has led the Hopedale Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine (HRSM) team of physical rehabilitation and athletic training professionals since 2008. Well-respected by physicians, coaches, and families throughout Central Illinois, her team of professionals is recognized as an exceptional group. In addition to offering personalized patient programs for clients of all ages, Emily provides certified athletic training services to area schools: Dee Mack High School, Delavan High School, Hartem High School, Olympia High School, and Tremont High School. Emily serves as a Coordinator on the Administration team of HMC.

Employee of the Year: Andie Halley, MBA/HFS
Andie has served as the Hopedale Wellness Center Assistant Director since 2008. The Wellness Center serves 1,500 members from all age groups. Andie’s educational concepts shaped many of the successful programs, which area families enjoy throughout the year. She develops health and fitness programs, teaches athletics, and manages many of the Wellness Center events such as the Spooktacular Festival and the Holly Jolly Jog. In addition to her Assistant Director responsibilities, she leads various committees throughout HMC. Finally, Andie also serves as a Coordinator and Corporate Compliance Officer.

HMC LOVE Award: Trista Barrick
Trista works as a CNA in the Hopedale Hospital. She consistently demonstrates a positive and upbeat approach to patient care. Trista is compassionate and thoughtful. She ensures hospital patients receive the best care with the respect and the dignity that they deserve.
The LOVE Award was created by HMC founder, Dr. Lawrence Rossi, Sr., to celebrate the important role of the CNA in healthcare.
