(Peoria, IL)­­—Peoria Disposal Company (PDC Services) will be picking up Christmas trees as part of the City’s regular trash collection. There is no special pick-up service scheduled, however all trees must be cut in half to a manageable size, and all lights and ornaments are to be removed as a safety precaution for the drivers.

Christmas trees are not considered landscape waste, so they will go into the landfill. Environmentally conscious residents need to make other arrangements to dispose of their tree.
