The Peoria Regional Office of Education is pleased to announce that the Illinois Virtual School is the recipient of the Intel Teach Affiliate grant totaling $20,000 for the initial year’s activities. The grant is for deployment of online Intel Teach professional development to teacher and school leaders in Illinois. New courses on the Illinois Virtual School platform will include Assessment in 21st Century Classrooms, Collaboration in the Digital Classroom, Designing Blended Learning, Educational Leadership in the 21st Century, Inquiry in the Science Classroom, Personalized Learning, Project-Based Approaches, and Thinking Critically with Data. The grant will cover facilitator training for the courses, updates to the professional development courses to align with Illinois initiatives, marketing of the courses, and ongoing support of the courses.
