(Peoria, IL / February 15, 2013) – OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and HeartCare Midwest are pleased to announce the following additions to the leadership team:

Shawn Wagner, CMPE, FACHE has been named Vice President of Operations for HeartCare Midwest.

Wagner will be the non-physician administrative leader of HeartCare Midwest – all locations, focusing on providing oversight of those directing day-to-day operations of all practice locations, strategic planning, and strengthening relations with regional hospitals as well as all OSF facilities served by HeartCare Midwest.

Daniel Ciaburri, MD, FACC, FACS, MBA has accepted the Lead Cardiovascular Surgery role with HeartCare Midwest – Peoria.

Dr. Ciaburri will oversee the Cardiothoracic Surgery operations at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Additionally, he will be involved in collaborative projects to establish new services and a reporting system with appropriate benchmarks and goals for CV Surgery across the three hospitals in the OSF System that provide these services. Dr. Ciaburri will also be involved with Clinical Research and the activities of the Jump Trading and Simulation Center.
