Bradley University to host inaugural Leadership Summit

Peoria, IL (February 18, 2013) Aspiring leaders working to advance their careers and enhance their leadership skills are invited to attend the Bradley University Alumni Association’s inaugural personal and professional development conference June 13-15 on the Bradley campus.

The three-day Leadership Summit will include keynote and breakout sessions, and feature proven leaders across various industries such as finance, education, government, technology, and nonprofit. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers and one another to gain multiple perspectives on ethical leadership.

Among the scheduled speakers are U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood ’71; Delta Air Lines Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Stephen Gorman ’78 MBA; New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chief Operating Officer Nuria (White) Fernandez ’82; Exelon Corp Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Calvin G. Butler, Jr. ‘91; Dr. Jennifer Robin, author of “No Excuses: How You Can Turn Any Workplace Into a Great One,” and Dr. Larry Weinzimmer ’83 MBA ’85, author of “The Wisdom of Failure.”

The registration fee includes six meals and Summit materials. The cost is $225 person, or $175 for Bradley alumni before April 30. From May 1 through June 1 the cost is $275 per person or $225 for alumni. The fee for Bradley students is $150 per person. Register online at www.bualum.org/leadershipsummit.

Participants in the Summit are eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) and continuing professional education units (CPEs).
