The Red Cross is continuing to respond to the rapidly rising waters in Illinois. Currently, we have 6 shelters to receive evacuees. We are assessing the needs with local officials in other communities, and the Red Cross is prepared to respond should the need arise. Red Cross feeding teams continue to provide meals to those sandbagging and residents returning to their homes to start clean-up.
