Peoria, IL- The Community Foundation of Central Illinois (CFCI) is working with current and prospective donors interested in supporting flood relief efforts throughout central Illinois.
Community Foundation CEO Mark Roberts states, “The Community Foundation of Central Illinois encourages current and prospective fund holders to donate to the flood relief efforts of their choice. In order to quickly direct charitable capital to those organizations that need it most, CFCI has temporarily waived the 60-day waiting period for new Depository contributions intended for flood relief.”
Current donor-advised fund holders are also encouraged to contact CFCI to recommend a grant in support of this important effort. CFCI will fast-track these grant recommendations to provide rapid distribution of charitable support to those in need. All distributions must be made to qualified 501(c) 3 organizations.
CFCI will continue to monitor the impact of the flood and its aftermath in order to help direct philanthropic resources in support of relief efforts.
