May 7, 2013 – Easter Seals and the Ray and Kathy LaHood Center for Cerebral Palsy present a one-day conference, Clinical Decision-Making for Young Children with Cerebral Palsy, on Friday, May 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Heartland Community College, 1500 W. Raab Road, ACEC2012, Normal, Illinois. Andrew Morgan, MD is the presenter.

The conference will center on clinical decision-making for young clients who have Cerebral Palsy. The training will focus on identifying a diagnosis, developing a treatment plan, exploring therapeutic modalities, understanding orthotics and equipment, discussing medical treatment, and understanding spasticity management through case studies.

Dr. Andrew Morgan is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins Medical School, his residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and a fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at the Kennedy Institute in Baltimore. He serves as the Medical Director of Easter Seals Peoria-Bloomington and Medical Consultant to Tazewell Mason County Special Education Association. Dr. Morgan is the founder of the Penguin Project, a community theater program for children with disabilities.
