Peoria Public Library Offers Two Free Concerts in September

Kids Rock at the PPL! Presents: Jeanie B! and the Jelly Beans

Saturday, September 21 – 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Peoria Public Library North Branch McKenzie Room
1:00-2:00 p.m.
The award-winning Jeanie B! & the Jelly Beans will rock your socks off! Critically acclaimed, packing shows across the Midwest, and in rotation on Sirius XM Radio, Jeanie B uses what she hears around the neighborhood to create irresistible pop songs: “Kids will tell me things about themselves or life, and it’s like they are dictating lyrics to me!” Proceeds from CDs will benefit the Friends of the Peoria Public Library.

Music in the McKenzie Presents: Beth Bombara

Sunday, September 29 – 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Peoria Public Library North Branch
A Grand Rapids, MI native and current St. Louis resident, Beth has developed her signature sound over the past decade, drawing inspiration from not only her favorite rock, blues, and folk musicians but also from the places she’s lived in and toured through over the years, first as a member of Samantha Crain and the Midnight Shivers and then as a solo artist. Beth has steadfastly grown into her identity as a strong musician first and foremost, loath to be categorized as another delicate female singer-songwriter. Beth’s versatility in live performances and multi-instrumental chops make her much more than just another “girl with a guitar.” CDs will be available to purchase with proceeds going to the Friends of the Peoria Public Library.
