City of Peoria to Survey Citizens

[Editor’s note: If you get the opportunity to answer this survey, please do so! How often do we get such an opportunity to share our opinion with the City?]

PEORIA, IL – Within the coming weeks, questionnaires will be sent to a random sample of 1,200 households in Peoria, asking for feedback on the quality and usefulness of City services. If your household is selected for the survey, please take a few moments to provide your input. Responses are completely anonymous, but will help guide future policy decisions. The City has chosen the National Citizen Survey to administer the questionnaire.

The National Citizen Survey is sponsored by the International City/County Management Association in cooperation with National Research Center, Inc. The questionnaire and survey procedure were designed based on the experience of hundreds of local governments, ranging in size from small to large. Scientific sampling and weighting of the responses in each city ensure accurate and reliable results. Because each survey is developed using a standard template, and many jurisdictions can be surveyed at one time, the National Citizen Survey is a very efficient way to measure citizen opinion. Results can then be measured against other participating communities as well.

If you have questions about the survey, please contact the City Manager’s Office at (309) 494-8524.
