City of Peoria Seeking the Public’s Input on the Future of Wisconsin Ave.

PEORIA, IL (April 23, 2014) – The City of Peoria, in conjunction with Farnsworth Group Inc., is seeking the public’s input on the future of Wisconsin Avenue, a historically significant business corridor.
The City of Peoria and Farnsworth Group is hosting a ‘hands on’ Neighborhood Design Workshop / Brainstorming Session that is open to the public from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 29, 2014, to gather public input which can be incorporated into the Wisconsin Avenue Business Corridor Plan. The event will occur at the East Bluff Community Center (512 East Kansas Street), and kick off with a walking tour of portions of the study area from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Following the tour, the ‘hands on’ workshop and brainstorming session will occur from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The meeting will be a chance to discuss long-term opportunities, including potential architectural recommendations, site improvements, streetscape enhancements, branding opportunities and implementation strategies.
